ALM027: Boss Bow Two
In step mode, why does patching the same clock into both the left I/O and clock input cause unpredictable outputs on right I/O’s ?
This is a known limitation of the BB2. A trigger or gate firing at the exact same moment at both the clock and signal inputs causes a slight ‘interference’ when switching. This is limited only to this specific use case.
There is a simple workaround to produce the expected behaviour. The gate patched to the clock input needs to be delayed very very slightly. This can be done by patching it through a fast attack envelope or by using a dedicated gate/trigger delay module. If you are triggering via Pam, make a duplicate of the I/O output for the clock input and delay it slightly by adding a small value to the Phase param (1-5% depending on tempo).
